Why Families Love La Manga Club

La Manga Club is far more than a golf resort. It combines sports facilities and children’s academies in golf, tennis and football with swimming pools and nearby beaches.

Staying in a private villa like Los Altos 522 gives your family the space and freedom that hotel rooms simply cannot match. Three bedrooms, a full kitchen, outdoor terraces and access to communal pools mean everyone can spread out and enjoy their holiday at their own pace.

Children’s Clubs and Activities

Juniors Club (Ages 5 to 11)

The Juniors Club runs daily supervised activity sessions during peak holiday periods. Children take part in arts and crafts, team games, sports tasters and outdoor adventures, all led by trained staff. Sessions typically run for several hours, giving parents time to enjoy a round of golf, a spa treatment or simply a quiet coffee.

Teens Zone (Ages 12 to 16)

Older children and teenagers can join organised group activities including multi sport tournaments, adventure challenges and social events. The programme is designed to be engaging without feeling forced, so teens can dip in and out as they please.

Junior Sports Academies

La Manga Club’s sports academies welcome young players from around age 4 upwards. The Racquets Club runs junior tennis and padel academies, and the resort runs children’s football academies. There is also a junior golf programme for children keen to try the sport, with age appropriate equipment and patient coaching.

Pools and Beaches

The resort has multiple swimming pools, including shallow areas suitable for young children. The Beach Club offers a more relaxed atmosphere with loungers, dining and supervised swimming. For a day out, Cala del Barco beach is just 1.4 miles from the resort and offers calm, shallow waters that are ideal for families with small children.

Dining with Children

Most restaurants at La Manga Club are family friendly, with children’s menus and relaxed atmospheres. For evenings when you would rather stay in, the villa’s fully equipped kitchen makes self catering straightforward. The nearest supermarket is a short drive away, and local markets in Los Belones and Cartagena are well worth a visit for fresh produce.

Getting Around

The resort is compact enough to walk between most facilities, although a hire car is recommended for trips to the beach, local towns and Murcia airport. Pushchair friendly paths connect the main areas of the resort. We are happy to advise on car hire options and can provide directions to local attractions.

Our Recommendation

The best months for a family holiday at La Manga Club are May, June and September, when the weather is warm without being too hot, the pools are open and the resort’s children’s programmes are in full swing. School holiday periods are naturally busier, so early booking is recommended to secure your preferred dates.
